End of Evangelion was the third and last Neon Genesis Evangelion cinema movie.
It's storyline continues where Rebirth left off. Actually, The first part
IS Rebirth, with approximate 15 minutes extra. That part is called "Air".

Synopsis. The synopsis you'll read is about the second part of End
of Evangelion, "Heart". Heart replaces episode 26, and in this ep, a lot of answers wil be given, but it creates many
questions too. Some ppl don't like this movie because it's too vague and
it still leaves many things open, others thing this is the best movie you
can ever see. I say you should decide for yourself.
This Synopsis will inform you about what happened in Rebirth, and I promise
I'll that you'll read one of the best versions on what really happened
in Rebirth. Although I've written all the synopses about the episodes and Death,
I didn't wrote this one.
The original synopsis was made by Naoki Naemura (from Japan!!), and he did
he really good job ;). He didn't just write a short summary on what happened, it's more like a short story. I found this on his site, The
End of Evangelion, and it's truly one of the most informative EVA sites
on the web. Too bad it doesn't seem to have been updated since 1997. But
then again, NGE WAS aired from 1995 till 1996, so that's no real problem.
I recommend you visit the site someday.
Okay, so what DID I do with this synopsis? I read the whole thing, corected a
few things (just spelling and typo's), added my own pictures, lay-out,
and made sure it could be part of my website. But the greatest work wasn't
done by me, remember that. When you've ever wrote something like this,
you know that is a hell of a lotta work. I tried to do as much I could
myself, but I'm webmaster too, and this was interfering with the general
progress of the site.
In short: I'm helping out Naoki by placing his work here, so that many people
can read it.

Shinji called for the Longinus Spear that was
in the moon back to earth, to penetrate the neck of Eva-01 and destroy
it. It did arrive but did not pierce the neck of Eva-01. Instead it stopped
just inches away and then the 4 wings of Eva-01 formed a cross like wing.
Fuyutsuki, who was following the events at the Nerv Command Center shouted
"Noooooo!". Seele, who was following the events also commenced the rite
for the beginning of Human's next evolution phase and Keele, head of Seele,
transformed from the usual black monolith to a real human form and started
the ritual. When the Longinus Spear arrived, the wings of Eva-01 turned
to a cross like formation and the nine Eva-05 bite the cross wing of Eva-01
and with their own wings they carried Eva-01 to the sky. Shinji's hands
starts to have a nail mark in his palm. The head of the military that attacked
Nerv knew immediately what was to take place and said to his side officer
"We have failed." As the 9 Eva-05 and Eva-01 glitter in the bright sky
above Geofront, they formed the Tree of Life formation and the CGI graphics
for the Tree of Life connected all the robots and the Third Impact started.
A big explosion ignited and expanded from Geofront to include the rest
of Japan and parts of Korea and China.
Gendou now initiated his own version of the Third
Impact and said "I have adam with me already" (Japanese:Adamu wa sude ni
watashi to tomo ni aru.) He then penetrated his hand into Rei's breast
and went from there to her stomach.

Rei felt the pain of Shinji
has he was being absorb by the effects of the first phase of the third
impact. Gendou ordered her to bring him inside Lillith but Rei refused.
"Im not your doll" (Japanese: Anata no ningyou ja nai )

Gendou removed his hand in pain and Rei floated in the air. Gendou shouted "Noooo! Dont
leave without me! Bring me to Lillith!" but Rei ignored him and headed
for Lillith. Rei said "Im back" (Japanese: Tada Ima) Lillith answered "Welcome
back" (Japanese: Okaerinasai).
Rei went inside Lillith and Lillith removed herself
from the cross, removed her mask and transformed into a big Rei. Makoto
shouted that a blue pattern being was detected beneath Nerv and was fast
approaching from below. Maya confirmed but MAGI says that it is human and
not an Angel. Suddenly Lillith (who is in a form of a white Rei) went pass
thru the floor of Nerv and her giant hand passed through Maya like a giant
ghost. Maya felt the passing of a white Lillith and felt her soul touched
and screamed. The big Rei went outside toward Eva-01 and the nine Eva-05,
which is almost above the clouds and heading for orbit.
And then she meets Shinji....
The Longinus Spear penetrated the core of Eva-01
and enveloped the robot with it and turned it into the tree of life. Fuyutsuki
said " The fruits of life of an Angel combined with the knowledge of man
was given to Eva-01, almost like a god and all along our fate rested on
the son of Ikari. (Japanese: Shitou no motsu seimei no jitsu to, nito no
motsu chie no jitsu, sono ryouhou o te ni ireta Eva shogouki wa kami ni
hitoshiki sonzai ni natta. Mirai wa Ikari no musoko ni yudanerareta na).
The whole of Japan was consumed in a ball of fire and started to advance
around the world and the black moon appeared. The big white Rei faced Eva-01
and started to get it with both hands and Shinji seeing this screamed.

When the Third Impact
started, Shinji instead saw the big white Rei transformed to a smiling
Kaworu and Shinji smiled with delight and entered a dream state where people
are asking Shinji "what do you want?" |
(Japanese: Nani o negau no ?). Then
we are back at the scene of the train at Episode 16 but this time Misato,
Rei and Asuka are in the train, then Asuka said "If I cant have your entire
self for me then who needs you." (Japanese: Anta ga zenbu watashi no mono
ni naranai nara, Watashi nani mo iranai).&
Shinji fought back that who needs anybody anyway
and the three just stared at Shinji as if he was saying something really
stupid. Then Shinji remembered his past when he was five years old building
a sand castle pyramid, he was alone with 2 other children asking him to
help them make a sand castle. Shinji agreed and helped them. But the mother
of the two children came and pick them up and Shinji was left all alone
in the park. He continued as he felt crying because he doesnt have a mother
to pick him up and as time goes by and the park was soon empty, he was
still there alone, with no one but a perfectly built sand castle. Seeing
this he destroyed it. And seeing it destroyed, he cried and started building
it again.
He remembers the time he was trying to comfort
Asuka after Asuka was telephatically raped by the 15th Angel. Asuka confronted
Shinji that he does not really care. Asuka then attacked and shoved and
pushed Shinji that all he wants is sympathy from people because he is afraid
from people like his father, mother, Misato and the others and that knowing
her present state, he would maybe like to take advantage of her. Shinji
argued that he does not but Asuka pushed him hard and he hit the coffeemaker
filled with hot coffee and landed in the floor with it. Asuka said "How
pathetic...." (Jap: Aware ne) . Shinji cried. He then begs that Asuka help
him but Asuka said "NO". He got up started to strangle her. The music of
a guitar was heard in the background and drawuings of abused children were
shown in crayon portraits like four year old drawings of a beheaded fish
in a fishbowl for example.
The Third Impact goes to its second phase....
